Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Emporio Salon (the “Salon”) is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or any part of our business. Our ethical code reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking do not occur anywhere in our operations or supply chains.
Our Business
Emporio Salon operates premium hair salons across India and offers haircare products, accessories, and specialist equipment to professional salons. We directly employ our staff and work closely with franchise partners to maintain the highest standards. We collectively employ around 120 people across all locations.
Our focus on preventing slavery and human trafficking is primarily on two areas: the production and supply of Emporio Salon-branded products, and the employment practices in our salons.
Our Supply Chain
All Emporio Salon-branded products are sourced from reputable manufacturers and suppliers based in India and abroad. All suppliers are required to adhere to our Ethical Code, which mandates compliance with all modern slavery legislation and ethical standards. Distributors supplying our products to salons must also ensure full compliance with local laws and modern slavery legislation.
Our Salons
Emporio Salon currently operates multiple salons in major cities across India. While most salons are directly managed, some operate as franchisees. Franchise agreements require all franchisees to comply with employment laws and modern slavery legislation, including a strict prohibition on forced or illegal labour.
Compliance
All suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and franchisees are required to comply with local laws in the regions where they operate. We take modern slavery seriously and have implemented policies to ensure compliance in both our business and supply chain. Any reports or indications of non-compliance are investigated thoroughly, and appropriate action is taken, which may include termination of business relationships or reporting to authorities in severe cases.
We encourage employees, franchisees, suppliers, customers, or any third parties to report any suspected violations. Concerns can be raised directly to the Salon management or to our Compliance Officer, who oversees adherence to our ethical standards.
Looking Forward
Emporio Salon remains committed to raising awareness about modern slavery among staff and ensuring all employees receive training to identify and prevent any instances of modern slavery within our operations or supply chain.
This statement is made pursuant to applicable modern slavery legislation and constitutes Emporio Salon’s anti-slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
